Do Freshmen Reps Get a Pass? Yes.

If successful, Voting Against Incumbents means voting for a challenger who wins. Freshmen Members of Congress are most vulnerable two years later, when they have to run for re-election. Entrenched interests protected by incumbents try very hard to knock them off.

Voting Against Incumbents is a longer-term political movement that has no problem giving victorious challengers a pass the first time they run for re-election. In fact, we encourage everyone to support them at this point in order to create meaningful change in America.
