Black Friday: Send a Message: Buy Nothing!

Vote Against Incumbents endorses Buy Nothing Day as an excellent way to Send a Message to powerful, entrenched interests in our nation.

Retailers call the Day After Thanksgiving as "Black Friday" because they expect to reach profitability [black v. red] for the calendar year as of that day. Sales the rest of the year represent real profits.

Anti-consumerists have similarly labeled the Day After Thanksgiving as "Buy Nothing Day."

With the politicization of everything nowadays, refusing to spend money [or, at least, no optional purchases] on Black Friday/Buy Nothing Day is a great way to Send a Message to powerful interests in our society, similar to Voting Against Incumbents.

It's your money and your life. It's your decision. Take control of your life.
